It all starts with an apparently harmless notification: 🔎 Marie is trying to reach you. Curious, Yves clicks and shortly afterward receives a private message on Facebook Messenger.

The account appears real, the tone is professional, and the conversation gradually develops. The person claims they want to verify unusual activity on Yves’ account.

A well-rehearsed scenario

After several exchanges, Yves is invited to click on an external link in order to “secure” his account. A few minutes later, suspicious logins are detected. The scam is confirmed.
